Aluminum Frame Extrusions are generally referred to as frame extrudates, in which raw input of aluminum metals, commonly in the form of solid strips or blocks, is pushed through a molding die to create a specific cross-sectional pattern.
In the case of frame extrusions, patterns produced can vary, but still ultimately used in the construction of metal frames.
Frame Designs
One of the most basic design of the extrusions to allow it to function as frames is through a slotted design, in which a simple indentation or drainage channel is created along the aluminium metal. This produces the catch to allow the frames to fit firmly and steadily around the items, with the item locked into position by the frames. This is commonly known as the T-slot design.
